After proclaiming in our last post from Miami that I never booked hotel rooms because of the view, I’m back with our second amazing view in a row. This time we are spending a couple days at the Walt Disney World Dolphin in Orlando, Florida. Why did we choose this resort out of all the others available in the area? Simple, it is a Sheraton property and thus earns valuable SPG Points. It is the only hotel within the theme parks that is part of a major loyalty program.
Just to make sure you don’t think I am a hypocrite, we booked the most basic room available at the property. We were placed in this room as a complimentary upgrade because of our SPG Platinum status. While the room was pretty similar, the view is what really made this an upgrade. We have been told the fireworks can be viewed from here and will be enjoying those later this evening. For those who want to request this exact view, the room number is 6021.
Look closely and you can see Epcot in the far background, although it is actually a little closer when viewed without a wide angle lens. We’ll have a full review of this property in an upcoming article, but until then we hope you enjoy the view.
